"The power to shape reality is what makes magic-users in all their guises such a kick to play in D&D. Ask anyone who's ever owned a monkey's paw or netted a talking fish from the sea, however, and they'll tell you that messing with reality comes at a price. As much as players love having all that cosmos-twisting power at their fingertips, it can be a problem for DMs."
